I came across this tutorial over at The Cottage Home a little while back & bookmarked it for a time when I had the chance to make it. It's actually for a mens Boxy Dopp Kit(a shaving kit) but I thought it would be a great shape for a make up case. All up it took about an hour to make(& remember this is only my second attempt at sewing a zip). I found the instructions just the slightest bit confusing at times, but overall it was fairly easy to make.
When it came to sewing the corners(to give the case it's height) I went with pinching the corners to give a 4.5inch measurement across the base of the triangle formed(you'll need to go over to the tutorial here to see what I'm talking about!)
Anyway, I'm off to make a couple more!
