Mums United Challenge :: Week One

Well, it's been a week since we started the challenge & we've started kind of slow. Everyone has started using light milk(except for me because I've always drank skim milk anyway) & we've replaced our normal full fat cheese with light cheese too. We managed two of the planned three walks a week & I've decided to count our Memorial walk, that's not cheating is it? I blame Melbourne's terrible weather(it was 30 degrees on Wednesday then down to freezing rainy winter weather on Friday & Saturday, back to 30 degrees-ish yesterday. Make up your mind Melbourne weather!). I'm going to include about 20- minutes of manic dancing & singing by me & the girls on Friday as part of our activity for the week. Zeus(our beautiful Rottweiller boy) joined me on our walk to pick Piper up from kinder(an hour round trip). He was so excited to go but the poor baby was absolutely buggered about 10 minutes in - it wasn't until that point that I realised that our little puppy was getting old(he's just about 6.5 years old).

So, the plan for this week:
:: keep up with the three walks for the week
:: possibly a bike ride
:: bake the scrumptious blueberry & bananna bread from the Mums United website
:: make an asparagus & tomato pizza from the Mums United website
(I can possibly accomplish this as I'll only have one day of work this week - hooray for lieu days!)

I wouldn't say I've noticed a difference weight wise being that we're only a week in(& we don't own scales anyway!), but I must say I did feel really good after both walks & I think we all had a huge buzz after our dancing fit!

Let's see how we go with week two!

Week one and going well, Natasha! I think it's great that it's a 'whole family' thing. Great for the children. x
