Today we drove down to Albert Park Lake to participate in the SIDS & Kids & SANDS Walk To Remember, a walk to remember all the lost pregnancies, babies & children. The day started out cold & rainy, & when we arrived I thought that he weather was quite appropriate for the occaision. As we walked around the lake the weather cleared & I think we all enjoyed the walk - with the kids looking forward to the upcoming checkpoints so that they could get their card stamped. At the end of the walk everyone joined together for a sausage sizzle & sat together listening to the SIDS choir as we ate. The girls collected their certificates & had their faces painted as we waited for the balloon release. We each got a balloon & were given the chance to write a little message to our precious little ones that we had lost.It was beautiful & moving when everyone released their balloons together, their messages to their little ones being carried off into the heavens. Tears were shed & hugs were had before everyone went their seperate ways.
